how to jailbreak iphone 4

how to jailbreak iphone 4

1.Download Pangu. This is a free jailbreak utility released by the Pangu jailbreak developers. It is based off of the evad3r's work, and is designed for iOS 7.1.x. Only download Pangu from en.pangu.io.
You will need to click the "Pangu for iOS 7.1.x" link at the top of the page, as the main page is dedicated to the iOS 8 tools.

2.Pangu is available for Windows and OS X.
Connect your iPhone to your computer. Use the USB cable that came with your iPhone.

3.Open iTunes if it doesn't automatically. You will need to make a backup in iTunes and check to ensure that you are running the latest version.

4.Check for iTunes updates. You may be prompted to update automatically. If you are, confirm that you want to download and install the update. If you aren't:
Windows - Click Help → Check for Updates...
OS X - Click iTunes → Check for Updates...

5.Create a backup. This will allow you to restore your settings should something go wrong during the jailbreak process.
Select your device in iTunes.
Select "On This Computer" as the backup location.
Click the Back Up Now button.

6.Disable your Passcode. If you have a passcode to lock your screen, you will need to disable it to proceed with the jailbreak.
You can disable the passcode from the Settings app. Select Passcode and then toggle it off.

7.Start the Pangu program. You will see your iPhone displayed in the Pangu window.

8.Click the "Jailbreak" button. This will begin the jailbreak process.

9.Follow the prompts to change the date of your iPhone. You will be setting the date to June 2nd, 2014.

10.Launch the Pangu app on your iPhone when the jailbreak process stalls at about 50%. Allow the app to run when asked to confirm.

11.Wait for the jailbreak process to complete. Avoid touching your iPhone while the jailbreak is in progress. Your iPhone will reboot once Pangu is finished.

12.Launch the Cydia app. This is the package manager for all of your jailbreak apps and tweaks. You'll need to run it once to finish configuring your new filesystem. Your iPhone will reboot after Cydia is finished configuring.
